FAQ
Why does mindshare matter?
Mindshare shows how much of the Telegram conversation a project actually owns. A high mindshare means channels are regularly talking about a project when they discuss crypto on Telegram. Since Tonso weights contributions by Quality and Integrity, mindshare reflects authentic attention rather than pure volume. For projects, increasing mindshare improves discoverability and makes it easier to convert new users and partners.
How do Quality and Integrity scores affect my ranking?
Quality and Integrity act as multipliers on your influence. If Integrity is low, the effective weight of your posts drops and you may fall down or disappear from leaderboards, even if you post a lot. This mechanism protects against artificial boosting and spamming while also rewarding channels that build genuine influence.
Why should I verify my channel with the verification bot?
Verifying your channel confirms you as the channel owner and makes sure you can claim any rewards earned through that channel.
What is the difference between BUZZ and points?
BUZZ is earned by channels when they are creating high-quality, crypto-related content that drive project mindshare. Buzz can affect creator rankings and campaign rewards. On the other hand everyone is able to earn points, regardless whether they own a channel or not. Points can be earned by completing tasks, interactions with the Tonso app and referring others.
What if I don't own a channel?
Some campaigns are open to all users and reward simple tasks or referrals. These are good entry points for regular users who want to participate without running a channel.
